So we have played the Sonic Racing Crossworlds ONT

gonna write so much here later, just played the sonic racing crossworlds ont and its the shit, so fucking good dude - roxy

First Impressions

ok so, game boots up, cool opening cutscene with fun music plays, showing off the game, loads into the game, got to do a grand prix before anything else which kinda sucks but makes sense, they want to make sure u know how to play the game before going online, the tutorial is sadly just a video but controls are pretty easy u can learn how to play from just your first track
the first 3 tracks r sick, pretty basic but cool look at first with the e-stadium, then u get rainbow gardens which lets u learn plane mode and a little boat and then water palace to learn boats properly, really good way to teach the game in the first cup, the way the tracks r done is cool too, u start with a single lap, then whoever is in first gets to pick a "crossworld" which is a really cool extra one lap track, the crossworlds seem to often be harder too with real sharp turns and tight paths and just throwing u right in, then u get back to the original track but with like 3x the obstacles, only played on high speed too (which is the 2nd difficulty out of 4) and it was so chaotic and fun, constant items thrown around and everything, huge reliance on drift on even the most basic tracks
then u unlock customisation and omg there r so many options, first u got ur character who has stats that the game actually tells u, then ur vehicle where u select from 5 categories, then in those categories r some preset vehicles and a custom option where u can change the front, back and wheels for different stats and look, then u got colour options, there r some presets based off characters and again custom, where u can change just so much, look:

and then u have emblems that u can resize and colour and move around and rotate, horns to unlock and auras too, then u even have gadgets which do cool changes like increasing how far u pick up rings or the speed of air tricks or gives u 3 item slots instead of 2, u unlock more gadgets slots as u play races, up to 6 total, with different loadouts u can make at once
the game has a penalty system too for if u quit races part way through and stuff which idk how to feel about but u can also block people in it, online play is cool too, u get new gadgets as u climb the ranks and it just feels so nicely done and plays so well, amazing game, already preordered it to get the werehog :3

played some more, servers had some issues but thats expected rn so i did some time trials, you got to make sure you have a good gadget loadout to get an a rank and its great to compete against your pb -valfur

End of the ONT

so it is over now, it was great, characters voicelines are so good and so many of them for so many situations, especially in grand prix with its rival system, the joker festival was amazing and has us excited for what other cool events they might do in full release. we had super high hopes for this game but the ont has somehow surpassed those -Jasprose
